The Mega Optic 720W delivers 2304 μmol/s of photosynthetic flux at an efficacy of 3,2 μmol/J, sized to cover 4′×4′ – 5′×5′ in flowering and 7′×7′ in vegetative growth. The manufacturer rates it as equivalent to a 1000 W HPS/MH HID fixture, with the difference that these 720 W are actual draw: around 259 kWh per month on a 12-hour cycle.
Recommended mounting height is 18″ to 36″ above the canopy, and continuous 0–100 % dimming lets you reduce intensity in the early weeks without switching fixtures off. The RJ port accepts 0–10 V control for automated light ramps. IP65 protection suits humid growing environments.
