About this model
Mega Optic 1000W
The Mega Optic 1000W delivers 3200 μmol/s of photosynthetic flux at an efficacy of 3,2 μmol/J, sized to cover 5′×5′ – 6′×6′ in flowering and 7′×7′ in vegetative growth. The manufacturer rates it as equivalent to a 1200 W HPS/MH HID fixture, with the difference that these 1000 W are actual draw: around 360 kWh per month on a 12-hour cycle.
Recommended mounting height is 18″ to 36″ above the canopy, and continuous 0–100 % dimming lets you reduce intensity in the early weeks without switching fixtures off. The RJ port accepts 0–10 V control for automated light ramps. IP65 protection suits humid growing environments.
Frequently asked questions
What buyers ask us most
- How much does the 1000 W fixture consume per month?
- Running 12 hours a day, 1000 W adds up to 360 kWh per month. At an average price of €0.15/kWh that is around €54 of electricity a month.
- How much light does it deliver, and how efficiently?
- It emits 3200 μmol/s of photosynthetic flux (PPF) with an efficacy of 3,2 μmol/J. Efficacy in μmol/J tells you how many micromoles of usable light you get per watt consumed: the higher it is, the less electricity you pay for the same harvest.
- What area does it cover?
- The recommended coverage is 150×150 a 180×180 cm. Larger areas are covered by combining several units while keeping the spacing between them.
- What warranty does it come with?
- A 5-year manufacturer warranty. HortiBloom Europe handles the warranty and technical support from Spain, with its own spare parts.
- How long does shipping take and what does it cost?
- Shipping is free across the European Union and the estimated delivery time is 24 to 72 working hours. You have 14 calendar days to return the order without justification.
